Somer A.C. is a multi-disciplined athletics club where anyone can train and compete for anything from track and field to cross-country, road racing and triathlon.

Portishead Multi Terrain Races

Now in their second year, the 10k and 5k Multi-Terrain Runs are open to all (13 years and over for the 5k, 15 years and over for the 10k), and start at 10.30 am. The course is designed to be within the capabilities of any normal fit runner or jogger. Both courses use sections of tarmac road, woodland and coastal paths in and around the Portishead Lake Grounds. Time limit 90 minutes.

The 2009 Portishead Multi Terrain event will be held on Sunday 20th September. Visit the Portishead Running Club website for more information or an entry form.

Summer Wobbler June 2009

On a beautiful summers evening about 20-25 runners turned up at the 7 Stars to book in for this 4ish mile challenging run around the beautiful village of Timsbury. As usual after studying the map off the route, it was time to put down your estimated time, and of to the start. Fish & Chip Shop Off Road Hash

Friday, 7th August 2009 at 6.30pm. Join us for a 4ish mile hash around Shepton Mallet followed by Fish & Chips at Whitstones - Charlton Crossroads, Shepton. The route is being set by Jo Langford & Ian Noad. Come along and find out what hashing is all about, they are fun!!! See the fish & chip hash flyer for more information.

Wells Fun Run 2009

It was on a gloriously sunny May morning that the Pritchard clan descended on the city of Wells for the annual 10K, 3 mile and junior races.
