At Somer A.C. we want to encourage juniors to take an interest in running, athletics and general fitness. Our junior section is open to 9 – 13 year olds and designed to make fitness fun!
Somer Juniors meet at 7.15 each Thursday in term time at Norton Hill Sports Centre. Sessions run from 7.30 to 8.30 and are held either in the Sports Hall or outside (weather and light permitting)
Weekly sessions are mixed between dedicated running training and other athletic activities such as throwing and jumping. We finish off with a cool down and stretches.

We welcome children from 9 – 13 years old, at which age they can progress to train with the senior section. We encourage members to take part in local fun runs and results are shared and congratulated.
