Until 2021, Somer AC was famed for its award winning Jack and Jill trail race.  However, the club were keen to showcase the fabulous local countryside with a new event for 2024 - the Mother Tuckers 10k multi terrain race.  Starting and finishing at the historic Tuckers Grave Inn and Campsite, it's a challenging and fun trail race that is predominantly off road though punctuated with the occasional section on the quiet lanes around Hassage and Wellow.

Over 200 runners embarked on the inaugural event on 6th October 2024 with Jamie Williamson back first in 36:19 and Olivia Elliott as the first lady in 51:02
