Until 2021, Somer AC was famed for its award winning Jack and Jill trail race.  However, the club were keen to showcase the fabulous local countryside with a new event for 2024 - the Mother Tuckers 10k multi terrain race.  Starting and finishing at the historic Tuckers Grave Inn and Campsite, it's a challenging and fun trail race that is predominantly off road though punctuated with the occasional section on the quiet lanes around Hassage and Wellow.​  Over 200 runners embarked on the inaugural event on 6th October 2024 with Jamie Williamson back first in 36:19 and Olivia Elliott as the first lady in 51:02

Join us again in 2026 - provisional date is Sunday 4th October 2026.  We were pleased to be part of the Somerset Series, as well as being Race 1 of Wiltshire Athletics Association's Wiltshire Off Road Running League (WORRL) for 2025/6.

For our younger athletes (only), we are also bringing you the Little Tuckers 3k race.  Another fab race, it was Race 6 of the Wiltshire Athletics Association's 2025 Wiltshire Junior Race League (WJRL).  ​
